ABOUT THIS DESK

A Reference Desk, Not a Vendor

What this site is, how the literature was selected, and why we wrote it.

What this desk is

peptidespodcast is an independent editorial digest covering published research on six compounds — BPC-157, CJC-1295, Retatrutide, GHK-Cu, Thymosin Alpha-1, and NAD+ — that sit at the intersection of tissue repair, metabolic research, immunology, and longevity biology.

It is a reading desk in the traditional sense: a place to look up what the peer-reviewed record actually says about each compound, with sources cited so you can read the primary research yourself. It does not sell any product. It is not operated by or affiliated with any supplement company, pharmaceutical company, research supplier, or clinical practice. No page contains a purchasing link, a price, or a recommendation to take any compound.

The site is written for anyone who wants to understand what the published evidence shows — researchers, healthcare professionals reading outside their specialty, curious non-experts, and journalists. The language is as plain as accurate science permits.

Editorial method

Source selection for each compound prioritized: (1) peer-reviewed publications in indexed journals, with preference for randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and authoritative pharmacology reviews; (2) recency — most citations are from 2019–2025; (3) species transparency — every cited finding notes whether the study was in humans, rats, dogs, cells, or other models, because the translation gap between animal and human research is a critical part of evaluating any research peptide's evidence base.

Where a compound's human data are sparse, that is stated plainly. Where a large well-designed trial came back null — as the 2025 Phase 3 TESTS trial did for Thymosin Alpha-1 in sepsis [23] — that result is given equal weight to positive findings. Null results are part of the evidence.

Citations follow a numbered reference system. Every [N] in the text corresponds to an entry in the shared references list, which includes authors, journal, year, DOI or PubMed link, and the study species. You should always read primary sources rather than relying on this digest's summary.

Independence and disclaimer

This site is not medical advice. Nothing here constitutes a recommendation to take any compound, at any dose, for any purpose. No compound on this desk should be obtained, handled, or used based solely on information from an editorial website. Several of the compounds covered — BPC-157, CJC-1295, and Retatrutide as of 2026 — are not approved for human use by the FDA or any major regulator. Others have narrow approved indications that do not extend to most of the uses discussed in research communities.

peptidespodcast has no commercial relationship with any compound manufacturer, supplier, or distributor. It does not accept advertising or sponsored content. Editorial decisions — what to cover, how to frame findings, what cautions to include — are made solely on the basis of what the published evidence supports.

Regulatory status, WADA standings, and the evidence base for investigational compounds change over time. Always verify current information with regulatory agencies and relevant primary sources.
